The EIP Storage team is leveraging decades of regulatory, technical, financial, and business know-how to meet the demands of an emerging low-carbon grid that requires more flexibility while maintaining reliability.

Ron DiFelice, Ph.D.

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Ron DiFelice is co-founder and CEO of EIP Storage and is a respected thought leader on the opportunities and challenges emerging from the transition to a low carbon electricity economy. He has over 20 years of experience across all types of energy storage, grid-edge technologies, and markets.

Before launching EIP Storage, he served as a Managing Partner of Energy Intelligence Partners, an advisory firm serving renewable energy developers, investors, utilities and Fortune 500 companies, and a co-developer for over 5 GWh of solar plus storage and stand-alone energy storage projects.

Dr. DiFelice earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech (Phi Lambda Upsilon), an MBA from Kenan‐Flagler at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Beta Gamma Sigma), and Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. May is co-founder and COO of EIP Storage.  Prior to EIP he was co-founder of Energy Intelligence Partners, along with Dr. DiFelice, and has a wide variety of experience as an investor, operator and advisor, in the new energy economy, including solar, wind, storage, biomass and biochemicals.

Mr. May’s background is in private equity and investment banking.  He also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Environmental Management (Energy) from Duke University and a BA in political science from UNC-Chapel Hill.
