OUR OWNERSHIP MODEL

We own the battery. You contract for the capability.

For customer-dedicated projects, EIP Storage can serve as the independent BESS developer, financier, owner, and operator. We deliver storage as long-term power infrastructure, with commercial agreements built around the customer’s required capacity, duration, availability, and dispatch rights.

IMPORTANT DISTINCTION

This ownership model applies to selected customer-dedicated projects. It complements, but does not replace, the EIP Storage grid-scale development portfolio, where projects may be sold or partnered with a larger developer or IPP at NTP.

Why independent ownership matters

A storage project combines development, interconnection, construction, financing, controls, safety, degradation management, market rules, and long-term operations. EIP Storage brings those responsibilities under one specialist owner so the customer can focus on its core business and contract for the outcome it needs.

  • One accountable storage counterparty from development through operations.
  • Project capital supplied through the EIPS-owned asset rather than direct customer ownership.
  • Technology, construction, operating, maintenance, and augmentation responsibilities assigned to the storage specialist.
  • Commercial flexibility to reserve all or part of the BESS for customer use.
  • Potential to monetize unreserved capability where market and interconnection rules permit.

Flexible siting and contracting

The BESS may be located on the customer’s campus, on adjacent property, or at another strategic point on the grid. The parties define site rights, interconnection responsibilities, reserved capability, dispatch priority, availability standards, recharge rules, market participation, and end-of-term options in the project agreements.

Best fit

Data center developers and operators seeking dedicated storage capability without developing an internal storage platform.

Electric cooperatives seeking peak management, congestion relief, reliability, or load-growth support without supplying project capital or owning the asset.

Large power users with specific operational, interconnection, or resiliency requirements.
